Dan and Parker both had Martin Luther King Jr. Day off so we met up with some friends (the Tanners and Adamsons) and went on a hike in Hillsborough, NC at Occoneechee Mountain State Natural Area. Dan went and talked to a park ranger about the trails while we were waiting for another family to show up. He expressed concern about the 200 foot elevation gain. Haha! It was pretty funny. It wasn't much of a mountain, but it was pretty and fun to be with friends. We all went out to Pizza Hut afterwards. It was a great day off!
