Independent Ethan

It almost never fails that the days when I feel like I emotionally can't handle much the kids wake up fussy or with their own agenda. This week was no different. Parker was a little fussy and volunteered to go to bed at 5:45pm instead of eating a dinner that I made because I thought he would eat it. But Ethan was the one that got me this time. Ethan has been drinking 3 bottles a day: one before each nap and one before bed. For the past few weeks we have been trying to switch him over to whole milk. He didn't really like it so I have been gradually adding more milk to his formula everyday. I was feeling good because we were up to half milk and half formula. Little did I know that Ethan had his own plan. He decided on Monday that he would no longer drink formula, milk or drink from a bottle. It freaked me out. He barely drank anything all day. I hoped he would wake up Tuesday and be over it. I was wrong. But I am happy to report that things are looking up. He is actually drinking a little bit of milk now. I guess he just knows exactly what he wants...or he is teething.
