Just kidding. But really I do love them! (So does Dan...and Parker)
I haven't been blogging because I thought I had nothing to blog about, but a lot has happened. So here is the run down.
PARKER
Parker is our little water boy. He loves the beach. He loves the lake. He loves the
pool. Give him some sand or some water to play in and he is one happy little boy.
He is talking soooo much now. It is pretty funny to hear the things that he picks up on. On Monday we went to a 1st birthday party for our friends little girl. I tried to teach him to say "Happy Birthday". He would repeat "Happy", but when I would say "Birthday" he would say "cake". He knows what is important.
He has a slight obsession with a school bus that Dan bought him in San Fran. It goes everywhere with us!
He almost knows the whole alphabet. But he will only say number 2 and number 9.
DAN
Dan only has 2 1/2 weeks left of his first year of medical school. Yay! No more classes! It is exciting, however, the second year is supposedly the worst year at Duke. Yippee. He gets a 3 week break in July. We are really looking forward to taking a road trip up North to see family.
KARI
I am now teaching the Sunbeams at church (AGAIN!). Apparently, I have something to learn.
I finished Parker's quilt and tonight I made a matching sheet. I haven't taken any pictures of it yet. I am really happy with how it turned out and may even make another quilt someday.
This weekend I am going to be part of a study at Duke. Basically I am getting paid to possibly get a cold (only 20 out of 30 people will get it) while I sit in the hospital for 3 nights reading books and watching movies. I am looking forward to a little break from Parks and the stay-at-home Mom gig, but at the same time I am really nervous about that little break. I have never left Parks over night. But $1,175 is a lot of money when you are living off of student loans, so I will endure!
Well, that is about it.
Y'all come back now, Y'hear!

Kari, you are such a good writer. It is so fun to read about your goings on.
I'd probably do it too. I am doing this all backwards regarding your posts on the research.
