The Climbing Wall

Dan had been throwing around the idea of building a climbing wall in our garage for a while. After visiting his brother in Florida and seeing his climbing wall it was all he could talk about. Once he started making a plan the garage didn't seem ideal anymore. The wall is partially cinder blocks and then there is a ledge and then it is drywall. It would have been complicated so it didn't seem worth it. One night while we were putting the kids to bed Dan threw out the idea of building one in the boy's room. I didn't think it was worth the money or effort considering their walls are like 8 feet tall. I was worried the boy's would get bored of it quickly. So I suggested putting it in our master bedroom?!?!  We have 11.5 feet walls on one side of our room. Dan couldn't have been more excited. The next thing I know we have a climbing wall in our room.  The kids have loved it and Dan has been climbing it a lot too! Hopefully I get some major brownie points for this one....
