Canoeing at Lake Mitchell

Durham County offers boat, kayak, and canoe rentals at some of the lakes here in Durham County. It is amazingly cheap!  We have never taken advantage of it, but decided to give it a try. It was $6 for 6 hours. They even had life jackets to fit all of the kids. We did not last 6 hours, but we had fun!  We went out the first time with all of the kids in the canoe. At first Michael was really nervous and didn't want to move, but he slowly warmed up to it and by the end he was jumping up and down and moving everywhere!  He was making me nervous! We dropped Michael and me off at the docks and Dan took Parker and Ethan out for another ride. It was another successful family trip!
