The older boys and I went camping at Linville Falls. I planned it as a father's/older kids trip and the Harts, Lewis', and Adamsons came along. It was Fall and the leaves were just starting to change. The boys love camping, and they love it even more when they have friends to explore and play with. We made the trip down to Linville Falls and played at the base of the waterfall. We took the group to the Linville Caverns which the kids always enjoy. We enjoyed meals at the campground and field games. I did have a chance to escape on a little hike without the kids to capture the waterfalls of the gorge and the fall colors. Beautiful. On the way out the boys and I climbed a ridge off the Blue Ridge Parkway to a foggy and colorful overlook. Overall a very successful trip and fun to do it with friends.
