Utah

Dan had the last week of March off so we headed to Utah. We originally wanted to go see my sister and her family, but they ended up moving to Texas the weekend before we got there.  :(  Nonetheless, we still had a great time visiting with friends and family in Utah. We stayed in a hotel for the first 3 nights in Midvale. The hotel was perfect. We had a full kitchen and a bedroom with a door so we could put kids to bed in shifts just like at home. The hotel had a pool and provided a warm breakfast and dinner. It made things a lot easier!

Ethan loved being independent in the pool. Thank you puddle jumper!

Parker loved seeing how long he could hold his breath.
Dan went skiing up at Snowbird the day after we got there. The kids and I went with Aunt Carol to the Discovery Children's Museum in SLC. The kids loved it! Their favorite part was the life flight helicopter and medical area on the top floor. I loved seeing Aunt Carol getting to know the kids a little better.

Michael loved climbing up and sliding down

The next day we went to BYU to walk around. It was fun to see all of the changes that have been made in the short time since we were there. I also loved going to visit some of the people that I worked with at BYU. After BYU we went visit our friends, Mitch and Maile, from Duke. They just had their first baby a week before we got there so it was fun to meet Ian for the first time!
Parker loved seeing the Eyring Science Center

The best one I got of all 3 kids. Ha!

On Thursday we made the drive to Logan. We stopped in Brigham City to visit some more friends from Duke, the Winders. The have two little boys basically the same age as Parker and Ethan. They had so much playing together. They have same land and are starting their own little ranch. It made us a little jealous. They have an amazing view! Some day!

In Logan the kids warmed up to Aunt Diane and Uncle Marvin pretty quickly and loved playing with their toys.  We spent two nights with them. Aunt Diane gave us the tour of Logan and where their family grew up. It was fun to see. We also played at a park, fed ducks and enjoyed some yummy pizza. Love Cache Valley...so beautiful!

On Saturday we made the long drive home! The way home always seems longer for some reason. We were headed into Cheyenne about dinner time so we decided to have dinner with one of my best friends and her hubby. It was great to see Jeanette and Taylor. We found out a few days later that they got a job in Utah and were moving so it was great timing to stop and see them that day.
