Shrine Mountain Trail and my Birthday

A few weeks ago we went on a hike with Scott and Gabby. It was beautiful. It was the Shrine Mountain trail in Vail. Parker and Ethan made it half way and then we went back to the car. Ethan  was quite the character that day. On the way back he didn't want to walk or was repeatedly saying "ouch".  But he did say mountain and hike for the first time. We tried using a baby carrier backpack that we bought off of craigslist for Michael. That lasted about 3 minutes. I think he will do better when he is a little older. After the hike we went to a park in Vail at the Betty Ford Gardens and had lunch. Then we headed back down to Aurora to have a cookout at Paul's house and have some birthday cake. It was a lot of fun. We were definitely all worn out at the end of the day though.
