200th Post - Random Thoughts

Dan may say otherwise, but he has had a productive 3rd year of medical school. I can't believe 3rd year is almost over. This time next year we will have hopefully matched and be making plans for wherever we will be going. I guess we should decide on a specialty first. It's a big year ahead of us.

Tomorrow we head to Colorado to do some skiing. And next week we (Dan and I without the kids!) are going to San Francisco so he can present this:

A while back we took the changing table back upstairs since we were never using it. Without it we had a lot of extra space so I got a folding table to put my sewing machine on. I love it! I get a lot more sewing done when my sewing machine is set up and ready to go all of the time. I finished up a bag that I started a long time ago and it turned out to be a perfect diaper bag.

I made a wallet to go with it.

I also made a wallet and a Book of Mormon cover for my Mom's birthday. I forgot to take a picture of them, but they were cute.

I got this great idea to make Easter baskets for the boys after seeing a cute picture of one. There was not a tutorial so I used some old fabric that was given to me to see if I could do it. I like it. I think it is cute, but don't feel up to making 2 more before Easter gets here. Too bad the practice one ended up being girly. Any takers?

I have also started a new quilt for Parker. The other one a made him looks a little small on his new twin bed. I think it is turning out cute so far.

And I shouldn't have, but I actually started another quilt the other day. I have a big box full of scraps from all of my random projects. I noticed that some of them look really cute together so I have started cutting it all into squares and someday I will make another quilt. It is going to be really cute. It would be perfect for a baby girl...maybe some day. For now, I will eat up this cute little guy.
