Snow Makes My Boys Happy

Anyone that knows Dan knows that he loves Colorado, skiing, and obviously, snow. He checks the Colorado snow reports at least once a day even though we live in North Carolina. I, on the other hand, have been enjoying our warm, sunny "winter" weather. Last Sunday we were sitting in Sunday School and over heard someone say it was going to snow that day. We were very skeptical. Although skeptical, Dan and Parker were excited! We watched the storm and the weather report all day hoping that it would snow. All day it rained. Around 9pm, during one of Dan's routine weather checks he saw snow. He woke a groggy Parker up and took him out in the snow. We were sure the snow would be gone by morning so we had to enjoy it while it was there. We snapped a few pictures and put a sleepy Parker back to bed. In the morning there were just patches of snow left to be played with. Just enough to build a little snowman and destroy it, have a snow ball fight, and save some in the freezer for later.
