Myrtle Beach

The past week for spring break we went to Myrtle Beach. We stayed in one of the huge resorts there, which are fortunately pretty cheap in the off-season. While I assume the town and beach is crazy during the summer, we actually had no crowds and had the beach almost to ourselves on some days. The weather was nice, sunny and just warm enough to swim and play in the water. Dan had a lot of fun swimming and boogy boarding in the ocean...though the waves were pretty weak sauce. Unfortunately, Parker developed an aversion to the water...in the picture below he was screaming at the top of his lungs "Save Me!" He did love playing in the sand and in the different pools. If we didn't set some limits he would climb out of the pool and jump back in all day...see the pic below. It was always a struggle to get him out of the pool, especially because he was sleep deprived and grumpy! Good times...we miss the beach already and are looking forward to our next trip, though it might be awhile with the little one on the way!
