Parker is always finding ways to amaze us with the things he knows. I find it funny that he picks up on some things so fast and others he doesn't. For example, Parker has been able to name all of the letters in the alphabet for a while and he can even tell you what sound they make. But when it comes to counting he usually says, "one, two, one". So imagine our surprise when tonight he counted up to 15. It's even funnier considering the fact that we usually only go up to 10 when we try to teach him how to count. We are also working on colors. Secretly he probably knows them all, but when asked everything is white or blue and sometimes orange.

He has also picked up a gross habit... He bites his nails. It occurred to me the other day that I never need to cut his finger nails and then I caught him. I thought his fingers were always in his mouth because he is getting more teeth, but he just likes to eat his finger nails. I would have never thought to look for something like that, but now we have to figure out how to stop it.

Here are a few more random things that I enjoy about Parker these days:
1. He thinks giving you a kiss will get him anything he wants.
2. He likes to say "bye, bye" to everything.
3. He still loves reading books.
4. All he ever wants to do with his blocks is build temples. Today he told me that Jesus lives in the temple.
5. He says "Thank you, Mommy" or "Thank you, Daddy" for just about everything.
6. He has a happy dance.
