Carolina Beach

Side note...Dan didn't think that I could get a picture of Parker's tooth. I did!

Now to the beach. Dan really wanted to go to the beach before school gets really crazy so we found a good deal on a hotel and off we went. It was beautiful! I have to admit that I was a bit of a pansy. I am used to the Gulf beaches. No waves. I did get in. I did get knocked over. I did get nasty salt water up my nose, but I had fun. Dan had a lot of fun with the boogie board. Parker loved the sand. And I find the sound of water to be very relaxing so I enjoyed relaxing.

After 3 trips to the beach, we made a stop in Wilmington and then headed home. We stopped in Wilmington to tour the USS North Carolina, but they wanted $12 a person to walk around. We are too cheap to pay that so we took some pictures and left.

I am glad we could get away and enjoy the beach together. On a very sad note, we found out today that a couple from our ward in Provo got into a car accident last night. They have been married for a year, just had a baby, and were so full of life. Unfortunately, he died from a head injury and she has a head injury and internal injuries. The baby is fine. We are so sad and at the same time so grateful to be together. Our prayers are with them and their families.

The picture below made us look like horrible parents. The waves weren't coming that far up so we put Parker down to take some pictures, but of course a huge wave came and knocked him over. It scared him and he was covered in sand, but he eventually forgot about it. Ooppps!

Wow, those are some nice big waves!!! They're so much fun, even when you get knocked over by them :) Scott and I love Brazil beaches because of that, they're warm and feel dangerous and fun! Love, love, love beaches and am glad you guys got to a nice one still this Summer!
Parker.. no comments, as cute as a button as always!
