Friday we went for a hike at Quandary. We found out later in the day that on Thursday a helicopter had crashed pretty close to where we were hiking. If we had kept going we would have seen the helicopter. But we did get to see the local Sheriff rescue a dog that had wondered off and was stuck on the other side of the lake.
The hike was followed by some swimming, shopping at the outlets, and then a walk around town. Saturday, Grandpa Tandberg came. We went on a nice little hike around the condo then everyone went swimming, but Parker and I just watched. They wouldn't allow babies with diapers in the pool. :( After swimming, we went to go find the alpine slide, but things were way to crazy in town with a parade and stuff going on. So we drove to Lake Dillon and reserved a kayak for later in the day. We walked around an art festival and saw some beautiful art. By the time our reservation came a storm was brewing and they wouldn't let us take the kayak out on the lake. :( So we drove to the other side of the lake to see what was going on there. We played on the playground and then when the rain started we headed home, ate some hot dogs, and played some Wii. Everyone went to watch fireworks while I stayed home with Parker. There were some disappointments, but in the end it was a great weekend!
