Rocky Mountain Low

We received word this week that I was not accepted at the University of Colorado. While there is a chance that we may not have ended up at Colorado anyway, Duke and Michigan are very good schools, it is hard for me to not feel a little slighted by my home state. This actually seems to be fairly common with Tandbergs, despite our fierce loyalty to Colorado. Thus, another Tandberg family will be leaving Colorado for the East. I went skiing today and could not help to be a little sentimental knowing that for at least the next four years skiing will not be a part of my life. In tribute to skiing, and in honor of all those Tandbergs who are separated from the snow, I filmed one of my runs today. Enjoy!

And maybe we need to pick a new home state...Utah has better skiing than Colorado in my opinion (plus the resorts are so dang close), Montana has "Big Sky" and "Bridger Bowl", Washington has the mountains and the ocean, mom and dad seem to like Idaho, Alaska is Alaska, or how about Canada, eh?!

I am impressed. You are a good skier and I know that Parker will be good one day.

No matter what we likely will always be sentimental and attached to Colorado with the backdrop of all our great mountain experiences. However, that doesn't mean we cannot be irritated by some dumb decisions by certain Colorado institutions!! I sure wanted to be skiing right along side of you and the snow looked great. Good run Daniel!!

Very true dad! Colorado has the most beautiful and diverse mountains in the country, and the experiences we have had in them truly makes Colorado home.

The video made me happy, sad, and sick all at the same time....good work Dan.
I hope you are able to ski as much as you can before coming out east, take advantage of it while you can.
